KCP&L Rate Increase

Post Date:02/17/2015

Kansas City Power & Light Company (KCP&L) has filed a rate increase request with the Kansas Corporation Commission to increase rates for electric service in Kansas. The 12.5% increase will be a fixed cost (not based on electrical usage), and raise the electric bill approximately $11.67 per month for an average resident. New rates would be effective on or around October 1, 2015.

Members of the public may direct comments and concerns to the Kansas Corporation Commission: public.affairs@kcc.ks.gov or 800-662-0027.
