On Tuesday, May 1st the Prairie Village Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider adoption of the Village Vision Strategic Investment Plan.
Over the past two years, hundreds of Prairie Village residents have provided thoughts, ideas, and suggestions for making Prairie Village the best it can be in the coming years. These ideas have been incorporated into the Village Vision Strategic Investment Plan, which contains recommendations for maintaining and improving the quality of life in Prairie Village.
The Village Vision Strategic Investment Plan contains 48 recommendations on issues ranging from redevelopment, to land use, to parks. Some of these recommendations include:
- Update zoning and building codes to encourage home renovation
- Encourage mixed-use development
- Revitalize 75th Street into a boulevard
- Encourage small, independent businesses
- Explore the future development of Corinth Square
.A draft of the Plan is available for review at the City Clerk's office and at the Corinth Library. You may also download the draft plan.
