Administrative Offices

The City's administrative offices provide general support services to all City departments, including accounting, payroll, personnel management, and computer support services. The City Clerk's Office processes business licenses, animal licenses, recreation memberships, and reserves rooms in City buildings and parks for use by the public.

Municipal Court

The City of Prairie Village provides Municipal Court services for the cities of Prairie Village and Mission Hills. Tickets for both cities may be paid at the Prairie Village Municipal Court, 7700 Mission Road. The Municipal Court is open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Codes Administration

The Codes Administration Department issues construction permits, licenses contractors working in the city, and enforces the City's Property Maintenance Code.

The Prairie Village Police Department provides police protection services for Prairie Village and Mission Hills. Services provided by the Prairie Village Police Department include Animal Control, D.A.R.E. School Resource Officers, Crime Prevention, and Police Records.

Police Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Community Services

Public Works Department

The Prairie Village Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the City's streets, stormwater management system, city buildings, city vehicles, and the City's park system. Public Works also regulates all construction in the public rights-of-way.
