When is my trash day?
Collection is made weekly. Use this map to identify the collection day for your home.

When can I set my trash out for collection?
Solid waste, recyclables, and yard waste should be set out no later than 7:30 am on collection days.

>Where should I set my trash for collection?
Trash cans, trash bags, recycling bins, etc. must be placed within 10 feet of the curb.

Please do not block sidewalks or place containers in the street.

Trash Holidays

Holidays that trash will not be picked up on include:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

Problems With Collection

The hauler just missed my house. What should I do?

Contact City Hall at 913-381-6464. Someone will be happy to take your information and follow-up with the hauler to find out why there is a problem. The hauler should be back to collect missed trash, recyclables, or yard waste within 24 hours of your call.

What do I do if the hauler makes a mess in the street?
Call City Hall at 913-381-6464. The problem will be reported to the hauler. The hauler must clean up the spill within 24 hours.
