The city hired an engineering firm to study the area of 68th Street and Mission Road after recent flooding of the roadway and adjacent properties. This study will evaluate solutions to the roadway and property flooding. The study also evaluates the opportunity to receive stormwater funding from Johnson County’s stormwater management program.
November 20, 2018 - The Preliminary Engineering Study (PES) will be presented to the city council. Approval to submit the PES to the County for potential funding is being requested. The project will compete with other projects submitted in Johnson County. The earliest a project could be funded would be 2020. The SMAC program would potentially fund 75% of the final design, construction, and construction inspection.
October 9, 2018 - A reminder that a public meeting is being held today, October 9th in the Multi-Purpose Room at City Hall (7700 Mission Rd). It will be an Open House format from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Attached below are the exhibits for the meeting.

Please come anytime between 4:30 & 6:30 pm as there will not a formal presentation. City staff and the engineers will be available to discuss the project.
