Prairie Village requires any business or individual operating within the city limits to obtain a business license. This includes businesses located in other cities performing work in Prairie Village.

The city has transitioned to an online application and payment system for licenses. A few things to note:

• You must first create an account with OpenGov before applying for a license. You will receive an email confirmation.
• From OpenGov, you can select the appropriate license, or you can use the links below.
• After you complete an application, staff will verify all information before you receive an additional email from OpenGov regarding payment. 
• Applications are considered incomplete until payment is made. Applications and payment must be completed before your license expiration date.
