Capital Improvement Program

The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is responsible for construction projects involving City facilities in the Right-of-Way.  The program is developed annually to maintain the City's infrastructure or construct new infrastructure facilities when necessary.  CIP budgets can be found in the City budget under the Finance Department.

The Public Works Department maintains an inventory of all of the City's infrastructure and its condition. Each year, 20-25% of the infrastructure is rated as to its condition.  These inventories and condition ratings are utilized to determine what repairs should be made.  These projects are managed by the City and the work is performed by contractors.  All construction work is inspected to ensure compliance with City specifications.
