Purpose of Sign Permits
The regulation of the location, size, placement and certain features of signs is necessary to enable the public to locate goods, services, and facilities without difficulty and confusion; to prevent wasteful use of natural resources in competition among businesses for attention; to prevent hazards to life and property; to avoid visual clutter; to assure the continued attractiveness of the community and protect property values. Sign permits require a Building Permit Application. To obtain a sign permit, please fill out the application including the General Contractor section and submit to the Codes Department. Questions, call 913-385-4604.
